Movie Review: Holiday Touchdown: A Bears love story

This movie is a plethora of riches. Give me Robert Buckley and Lyndsy Fonseca in anything, but put them in a sweet, high-production value NFL mash-up? Oh, yeah. That’s the ticket.

This movie originally aired Oct. 17, 2026.

For the 3rd year in a row, the NFL movie is a hit. First we went to KC, then Buffalo, but we’re now in Chicago following a Bears story.

Buckley is a hot fireman. Fonseca a freelance reporter researching a hard hitting Chicago Bears fan article – for Christmas? Maybe. Doesn’t matter.

It’s really good. Recommended.

Love Hallmark Movies? Welcome to Big Sky Lake!
If you love Hallmark Christmas movies like I do, consider reading Big Sky Lake, a small town romance series! Big Sky Lake (#1) introduces you to our town, followed by Fire Canyon (#2). And just this year I released Grand Ridge (#3). Just like a Hallmark movie, these are guaranteed happily ever after stories.

Movie Review: Mr. & Mrs. Christmas

You know how you choke down that dry turkey because you’re supposed to like it and it’s a holiday meal? Now imagine it’s a Hallmark movie and there is not enough gravy in the world to drown it.

This originally aired on Oct. 18, 2026.

It’s sad and lifeless for 80 min. The kid/parent drama is so ‘extra’ that a big, literally impossible finale (in the last 5 minutes) can’t save it.

So sloppy. When did the leads fall in love?! They didn’t. Nobody had fun in this one.

Nobody. Hard pass.  Immediately forgettable.

Movie Review: 'Tis the Season for Setups

Hallmark Christmas movies are back – checks calendar – yep, its mid-October. I’m planning to review as many of these gems as I can. So, here goes:

‘Tis the Season for Setups is not a rousing start to Hallmark’s 2026 Countdown to Christmas. Let’s hope for better in future movies this year.

A party planner and mom links up with ski instructor for some paint-by-the-numbers holiday fun. Another secret couple is discovered too. Meh.

The teen daughter was a highlight, but everybody else was basically sleepwalking through this one.

It’s a nope for me. Keep watching Halloween shows for a bit longer. Originally aired Oct. 16, 2026.
